Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Training in Good Clinical Practices (ICH-GCP).
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in roles similar to those described in the work plan.
Candidates with strong communication skills and fluency in English will also be preferred.
Work plan
This position aims to ensure rigorous management of clinical data, statistical analysis, and preparation of scientific documents within the scope of clinical studies conducted at 2CA-Braga, ensuring compliance with current legislation, Good Clinical Practices (ICH/GCP), and the center’s internal procedures. More specifically:

Manage clinical study databases, ensuring the integrity, quality, and security of data collected throughout all study phases;

Collaborate in the design of the statistical plan for clinical studies, contributing to the definition of analytical methods and statistical endpoints in coordination with the clinical and scientific team;

Calculate sample sizes for different types of clinical studies;

Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, supporting the interpretation of results and preparation of technical reports for various phases of clinical trials;

Perform medical writing tasks, including drafting, reviewing, and structuring scientific and regulatory documents such as clinical trial protocols, statistical reports, Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), synopses, manuscripts for scientific publication, and submission documentation to regulatory authorities (e.g., INFARMED, CEIC);

Ensure that technical documents meet scientific quality standards, statistical accuracy, clear communication, and comply with applicable regulatory guidelines (ICH, GCP, EMA/FDA);

Participate in data quality monitoring and discrepancy resolution, collaborating with monitoring and clinical research teams;

Contribute to training and technical support of the multidisciplinary team on statistical analysis tools and data management;

Collaborate in the preparation and response to internal and external audits and inspections, providing documentation and technical clarifications related to data analysis and management;

Stay updated on best practices, statistical methodologies, and regulations applicable to biostatistics and clinical trials, promoting continuous improvement of the center’s processes.
Duration and Activity Regime
Employment contract conditioned by the duration of the DeVMedCanEM project, submitted under notice MPr-2023-7 SIID – Business R&D – Co-promotion Operations – Other Territories.
Selection methods
The applicable selection methods will be Curriculum Evaluation (CE) and Interview (I).
The interview will only be conducted with the 3 (three) candidates with the highest score in the curriculum evaluation.
The final evaluation will consider the following weightings: CE - 60% and I - 40%.
The criteria and respective weightings for each method (CE and I) are detailed below.
The CE will have a weighting of 60%, distributed as follows:
CE1) Evaluation of the candidate’s academic profile/curriculum vitae (weighting 25%);
CE2) Academic and professional experience in areas of interest defined in the work plan (weighting 35%).
The I will have a weighting of 40%, distributed as follows:
I1) Demonstration of communication skills; teamwork capacity; assessment of knowledge in the research area; fluency in English (weighting 40%).
